I'm working with New Toronto Group (one of our largest ColdFusion partners in North America) to put together a free 2-hour training session on ColdFusion 8. There is a ton of new stuff in CF8 (the largest release to date) and I'm going to try and cover as much as I can in two hours. If you are still running a previous version of ColdFusion join us to find out what your missing. If you've just moved to CF8, I'll show you how to get started using some of the new features like:
Online slots are limited, so you'll need to register in advance. No purchase necessary to join and even curious PHP/Ruby developers are welcome. Oh yeah, there are also prizes! 10 lucky attendees will score a free copy of Ben & Ray's latest ColdFusion 8 book and another 10 will win a free 2-day on-site class hosted by New Toronto Group (in... Toronto).

The training sounds great. I am pretty new to Coldfusion however so am wondering if it would be too complex for a beginner?Tiling wrote on 05/29/08 8:13 AM
Unfortunately I missed this session. Could you upload a video telecast of the event as I'd love to see what exactly happenedWeddings Boca Raton wrote on 06/04/08 6:08 AM
Awww! I was hoping I could enter, if only to win Ben's book, but that's life I guess.Bathroom Lighting wrote on 06/05/08 9:20 AM
Adam, is this course still available? I talked to Mike and he told me this was a roaring success. Could I purchase a recording of this?Mark wrote on 06/06/08 12:21 PM

I was actually going to ask the same thing, but it took me an hour to scroll down through the spam comments!Web Search wrote on 06/09/08 11:07 PM
Any updates on the free training? Also, get rid of that long spammy list of links! This is a great site, and I hate to see it cluttered up with that junk!!Indie Music wrote on 06/09/08 11:09 PM
My company was actually going to sponsor some of us (not me) to get some updated Coldfusion 8 training, but it sort of fell through the cracks (blame the economy?). But was wondering if this would be a viable alternative?Car Hifi wrote on 06/11/08 5:25 AM
Indie Music - Yes, this would indeed be an viable option if you don't have the budget to afford a full-fledged training. From what I've heard these folks give you extensive knowledge about the working and the basic framework.London Escort wrote on 06/12/08 8:24 AM

I know I would not be able to attend this training that's far there in Canada. Even if I could have been there, not sure if I would have attended one - I am pretty much interested in the quality though and going through Six Sigma trainings this weekend.acne treatment reviews wrote on 06/20/08 10:27 PM
