If your company is located in the Washington, DC metro area and you can donate a few hours to offer feedback on ColdFusion Builder, please let me know. Vishal Manakame, ColdFusion Project Manager, and I will be visiting local ColdFusion shops to validate our concepts for Storm (codename for ColdFusion Builder 2).
At Adobe we take a somewhat agile approach to requirement gathering. We loosely follow a standard process called SyncDev as part of our concept validation phase. As part of this process, we'd like to meet with all the ColdFusion developers at your company. We will present our ideas around Storm (ColdFusion Builder 2) as if the product is already built. Throughout the presentation we will engage in an open discussion about the features and try to understand the real-world implications. Finally we'll ask for your help in prioritizing the features so we can understand what's specifically important for your team. In the end, we hope to gain a better understanding of the challenges your developers are facing day-to-day so we can build a product that better supports them.
These meetings last no more than 3 hours and we ask that you involve as many ColdFusion developers as possible. We understand that not all (if any) of your team use ColdFusion Builder today, but we are just as eager to hear their perspective as well. If your team is available for one of these meetings, please drop me a line at adrock at adobe dotcom. Thanks.
