Full Day of (free) ColdFusion Awesomeness in DC

On Tuesday, October 12, Adobe will be hosting a free full-day event on ColdFusion and ColdFusion Builder. Ray Camden (ColdFusion Jedi Master), Sam Farmer (Politico.com) and Terry Ryan (Adobe ColdFusion Evangelist) will provide an overview on ColdFusion 9.01, ColdFusion Builder Extensions and Object-Relational Mapping. Eric Hoffman (FoodSheild) will talk about how ColdFusion improved the way their organization operates along with a few other real-world case studies provided by Adobe and FigLeaf. Following the event, the Capital Area ColdFusion will kick off its inaugural meeting w/ Ray Camden. Snacks and cocktails and beers will be provided during the reception.

5 months ago: I stepped down from the OpenCFML Advisory Committee amid a bit of drama. Today: I'm sitting with the CF engineering team wading through language enhancement requests for ColdFusion X and I'm reminded of OpenCFML.

ColdFusion X Research in DC, Atlanta and Dallas

ColdFusion Developer Population Survey

There has been a bit of speculation on just how many ColdFusion developers there are in the world today. 3^rd-party research companies are saying one thing, while Adobe's internal estimates are saying another. Because this number is critical to the planning for ColdFusion and ColdFusion Builder, we'd like to get to the bottom of this discrepancy. An Evening with ColdFusion

Next week we will be holding a Special Event at the MDCFUG on June 22^nd. Since we'll have a few ColdFusion team members in the Washington, DC area, we wanted to take the time to have an open discussion about the future of ColdFusion and ColdFusion Builder. We'll kick off the meeting with an overview of ColdFusion Builder and we'll provide a sneak peek at ColdFusion 9.01. Then we'll open up to a general discussion about the future of both products and talk about the type of features you'd like to see. Just in case free pizza and beer are enough, we'll also be raffling off 2 copies of ColdFusion Builder and a copy of ColdFusion 9 Standard.

Swiz 1.0 Release Candidate

On Tuesday, May 18^th, the [swiz] development team released an RC build for Swiz version 1.0. It marked the culmination of several years of design, development and testing.
