took some time to clean up my demos and packaged them up into an archive. I’ve shared a lot of these before one-on-one so you may already have a CF8Demo.zip lying around. I’m considering this rev version 2. "These demos are hot. Hot like fire!"

cf.Objective() in Australia and Europe?

During our post-conference meeting it's been mentioned that cf.objective might expand overseas to Australia and Europe. I couldn't agree more and I really hope that manifests. They definitely have mine and Adobe's support. I'm curious to see if there is much interest. If you are in AU or EU, make some noise and let us know.

ColdFusion Surges Back Into TIOBE Top 20

The title says it all. Although this isn't really the best measure of value in a programming skill, it's still nice to see CF back in the top 20. I'll be happier when we overtake Ruby (and the I hear the sound of a 10k teenage Ruby fan-girls crying out in anger).

Why ColdFusion?

The 30onAIR campaign is still growing strong and some new 'Why ColdFusion?' videos have popped up. Our community has done an awesome job of hijacking this marketing campaign (my vid is the 3rd most popular). I think we've just scratched the surface though. Ben sent a number of cameras to people with some crazy ideas. If you haven't taken a look lately, here are a few of my favorites.

ColdFusion 8 Update 1 Released

The bits are live and the release formerly known as Gemini can be downloaded immediately from Adobe.com. Not only does the free ColdFusion 8 Update 1 roll-up some minor bug fixes, it also adds support for new operating systems (including 64bit) and some extended functionality (attributeCollection).
